The ever growing awareness of the needs and strengths of neurodivergent young people in schools, places of work and other settings, has lead to a wide range of professionals seeking a better understanding of the neurodivergent young people in their care. This can include wanting a clearer understanding of what given diagnosis really means and how lived experience of neurological difference can impact on everyday functioning.

Executive Functioning

The one of the goals for this area of mentorship is to not only help you further your understanding of neurodivergence and executive functioning, but also in helping you to consider how these factors might be impacting your client's life and potentially the therapeutic work itself in less obvious ways. While grounded in psychodynamic thinking, my diverse background allows me to assist professionals across modalities and roles to explore the social communication barriers and occupational functioning difficulties that can sometimes be overlooked in therapy yet are central to supporting neurodivergent young people.

The aim of sessions is to help you develop a clearer understanding of this aspect of your client's challenges and strengths which, in turn, will enhance the expertise you already bring to your area of work.

*Small group sessions are also available.
