Autism awareness:
Building a better understanding of the child’s experience

This talk aims to help schools develop a shared understanding across staff of autism from a neurodevelopmental perspective. It will examine how autism can impact daily functioning, and how it affects life at school. We will explore and challenge preconceived ideas around social interaction, communication and behaviour, and thinking around expectations that can arise around exceptional skills and talents.
