Understanding ADHD
'Sorry, was I tapping?'
This talk aims to help your school or organisation develope a shared understanding of ADHD from a neurodevelopmental perspective. It will clarify the different types of ADHD, and how ADHD can present differently in different children and young people. We will examine how ADHD can impact daily functioning, and how it affects life at school. We will explore possible ares of difficulty such as social interaction, communication and behaviour, and the potential for exceptional skills and talents. We will also look at how to support school life and mental wellbeing for these students.

This talk can also be delivered as a parents workshop as a way for schools/organisations to support parents in developing a better a understanding of their child's strengths and needs.

Who is this for?
This workshop can be offered as a whole school INSET training or for any group or organisation looking to build awareness in this area supporting to better contextualise a current understanding of ADHD or for those who are first building their understanding.

This event can also be adapted for parents, carers and guardians.
